What we do

(How Still Good Food works)

We rescue surplus food and redistribute it to the public through our shops in Bury St Edmunds and Great Barton.

Our shops are open to the public, anyone can shop at Still Good Food and every time you shop with us you save good food from being thrown away. Our customers helped us save over 40 tonnes of food last year!

We operate a 'Pay as you feel' donation system (minimum donation £3) and on your first visit we ask you to purchase one of our jute shopping bags (£2) to act as your shopping basket, which you bring back every time you shop with us.

We would ask all our customers to be mindful of how many items you take, especially if you are fortunate enough to be near the front of the queue and there are other people waiting; they would like to have a good choice of items too.

Thank you very much for your continued support.

Still Good Food Shopping Bags

We have our very own Still Good Food jute shopping bags.

This initiative is to help ensure a more even distribution of our food to all our customers and we ask for all users of the shop to use these bags.

We ask for a donation of £2 for the bags and once you have one please bring it with you every time you shop with us.

Thank you
